Monte dos Amores is a Villa situated on one of the most beautiful
parts of the southern coast of Portugal. Perfect for young and
old alike, Monte dos Amores offers its visitors a welcome break, by simply introducing
its guest to the natural splendor and the inherently slower
pace of life, that is uniquely portuguese.
On Monte dos Amores one can enjoy panoramic views to the south
over sand dunes and the atlantic ocean, the alvor skyline and
delta, home to small fishing and sailing boats all year round.
To the north lies Monichique, a mountain range which stretches
accross the whole of the Algarve thus providing ample trails
for the hiking novice or professional. A 10 minute drive away
is Lagos, a historic town, known for its charming little streets,
fish market, cafés and cliffs. To get to Lagos, where you will
also find boutiques, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and discos
one must first drive along Meia Praia, the longest and least
polluted stretch of beach in the algarve.
Monte dos Amores is also the perfect place for golf fans,
as it is situated 400 metres from the greens of Palmares
Golf, a club which boasts an 18 hole course built on hills
overlooking the atlantic ocean and Lagos. Other sports facilities,
such as horse-riding, surfing, mountain biking, and organised
countryside walks are, similarly, not more than 20 minutes
away from Monte dos Amores.
A barbeque hut stands on the property, fully equiped with cooking, grilling faciliteis and
a pizza
oven, thus making it the perfect place
to enjoy that fresh night air and some home-made grilled fish.
The swimming and paddle pool, which are just a stones throw
away from the barbeque hut, are surrounded by grand palm trees
and exotic flowers, through which one can still catch a glimpse
of the atlantic ocean to the south and the monchique mountains
to the north. Whilst the children play on on the large, safe
green areas adults can use the tennis
court, which can be found on the east side of the property.
Additionaly, whilst hitting the occasional smash, one can
enjoy being in the idylic company of age old almond and fig
trees.
